About the house
ADDRESS Venusvegen 9
EVACUATION
There is an emergency ladder on the top floor: This is accessible from the window in the master bedroom (first bedroom after climbing the stairs). Please note the harness for this in the same bedroom. Picture of the latch on the emergency ladder, which you will need to pull up for the ladder to extend.

TOILETS
Recently, the lower bathroom has been upgraded with a shower toilet. It features a shower ray for cleaning as well as a heated seat and blow drier for drying. It is operated by the remote control on the bathroom counter. If you opt to do your business the old-fashioned way, the middle floor bathroom is the better option as the seat on the shower toilet is not designed for the user to be moving around on.
ALARM
The fire alarm system is linked to an alarm centre. Should the alarm go off, a person from the alarm centre will make contact through the unit above the kitchen door. They will ask you for a password, which you will have received in communications with the host prior to your arrival. Repeating it to the alarm central will then resolve the alarm.
SHOWER
When using the shower on the second floor, please keep the door to the toilet room open to let the fan in this room deal with the moisture.
BALCONY DOOR
Some guests have trouble closing the balcony door. Its mechanism is worn, so the handle might feel stuck. If you jiggle it a bit, the components in the mechanism will shift into place and the handle will turn.
HEATING
The house has two main heat sources -- the heated floor in the ground floor hallway and the air-to-air AC unit in the stairwell. If you need more heat in the lower bedrooms, there are room heaters you can plug in. If you want more heat in the upper bedrooms, we prefer if you just leave the door open for a while and let the heat from the main system fill it up.
