In Tromsø and Karlsøy municipalities, there is optical sorting for all households. This means that you sort your waste into coloured bags (Plastics (purple dots), paper/drink cartons (blue dots), and organic (green dots)) and throw them in the same waste bin. For anything else, please turn any plastic bag (from the stores) inside out or use a white bag. All trash bags are put in the large bin outside. Glass and metal is put directly in the smaller bin with the yellow lid, without being put in a bag.
